Williamson County Association of Realtors® Announces March 2007 Home Sales

The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® today announces the sale of homes statistics for Williamson County, Tn. for the month of March. There were 393 residential and condominium closings reported for the month, according to figures provided by RealTracs Solutions, the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Middle-Tennessee area.

Compared to March of 2006, the residential home closings decreased 15 percent. While the median prices for residential homes increased by 16 percent. Days on the market (DOM) for residential homes increased by 16 days or 31 percent as compared to March 2006. Condominium closings increased by 4 percent. The median prices for condominiums increased by 33 percent and days on the market also increased by 24 percent (8 days) compared to March 2006.

Williamson County's real estate market still continues to outperform National and regional statistics. While median home prices across the south have decreased, our County continues to attract market rates and properties are closing in approximately two months' time. The trends are consistent for the past three years and as the weather begins to get warm and schools plan for the summer, the real estate "season" in the County is expected to have a positive outlook for buyers and sellers.
