Weekend Market Update

Sept. 29-30, 2007

Commodity prices are in a strong upswing, including gold, silver, wheat, and oil above $83 a barrel as surging global economies devour hard goods. The Euro hit another record high against the dollar. Stocks were down slightly on the last day of the quarter, and Treasuries and mortgage rates were steady, ending the week about the way they started.
