Here are February's sales figures as announced today (3/12/2007) by the Williamson County Association of Realtors:

Williamson County Association of REALTORS® Announces February 2007 Housing Numbers

March 12, 2007 (Franklin, TN)—The Williamson County Association of REALTORS® today announces the sale of homes statistics for Williamson County, Tn. for the month of February. There were 296 residential and condominium closings reported for the month, according to figures provided by RealTracs Solutions, the multiple listing service used by REALTORS® in the Middle-Tennessee area.

Compared to February of 2006, the residential home closings decreased 14 percent. While the median prices for residential homes increased by 22 percent. Days on the market (DOM) for residential homes increased by 16 percent as compared to February 2006. Condominium closings increased by 24 percent. The median prices for condominiums increased by 15 percent and days on the market also increased by 280 percent compared to February 2006.

"Although days on the market have increased from February of last year to this year; our area is still experiencing an increase in housing values and days on the market that are less than the National average. While median home prices across the South have decreased in value greater than one percent, Williamson County’s real estate market still thrives and houses continue to increase in value and close, on average, within two months,” said Susan McKinney, 2007 President of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS®.
